Our Story
Jasper Fern Press isn’t a team tucked away somewhere, or a big operation behind the scenes. It’s a family, built on years spent learning how books actually come together - not just how they look, but how they work.
Covers that need to hold up at any size. Interiors that don’t quietly fall apart when you get them into print. Files that meet the specs the first time, not after three rounds of trial and error.
We didn’t come into this through a formal publishing route. We got into it by doing it. Figuring things out, getting things wrong, fixing them, and gradually understanding what separates something that looks “almost there” from something that feels properly finished.
Over time, people started asking for help. First with covers, then with layout, then with the whole process. What we realised quite quickly is that a lot of writers hit the same wall. They’ve done the hard part - the writing - but everything that comes after feels like a different language.
That’s the space we work in.
Jasper Fern Press is where we take what we’ve learned from years in the publishing and marketing sectors, and use it to help people get their work into a form that actually does it justice. No overcomplication, no pretending it’s something it isn’t. Just careful, considered work, done properly.
And at the end of it, the goal is simple: a book that feels finished, and something you can be proud to put your name on!
